A beanie hat logo on a ball of yarn .. could not be a more cute logo for a hand made knitting business on the go.

Nici is a powerhouse of a woman: crafting away with her knitting needles making gorgeous bespoke hats upon request. While also running many marathons a year, living between a cannal boat and van life, plus being a rescue dog goddess for Jackson.

Nici got in touch after doing a call out for logo / graphic designers to help her with her logo. She initially thought I was out of her budget but recognised the value of receiving her logo in multiple formats and sizes.

So on we went with her draft drawing skills showing me want she wanted done professionally .. eh wallah, a hat on a yarn ball with a trail of thread.

This was a brand logo only project, meaning the logo you see below is the only delivered work.

I love my clients testimonial.

When I first started my little teeny boat based business making bespoke beanie hats I did it all backwards. I was getting orders before I’d even set up a website or a way to officially place an order. My little hands couldn’t make the hats fast enough. A brilliant problem to have but it meant that I simply didn’t have time to think about the image side of things.

I finally decided I needed at least a logo. Simple enough right? Wrong! I’m technically challenged at the best of times so there was no way I knew how to design something and have it in he many types of format if need for different needs (social media, vinyl banners etc). I was at risk of it looking like a 3 year old let loose with crayons.

In stepped Cathie from The Hearts Design with her superhero cape flapping in the breeze behind her. After a few messages back and forth she was able to unpick my brain and sent me my fabulous new logo. I’m still behind on the rest of the business stuff but I know when I’m ready Cathie will be there again to rescue me.
